Specifically designed for high-voltage automotive power architectures, the TP5.0SMD-FL FlatSuppressX TVS diodes are ideal for use in battery disconnect units (BDUs), high-voltage HVAC systems, and positive temperature coefficient (PTC) heaters.

The Littelfuse TP5.0SMD-FL FlatSuppressX TVS diodes, now available at Mouser, deliver 5000W peak pulse power at 10/1000µs waveform and 6.5W power dissipation with an infinite heat sink. With advanced foldback I‑V characteristics, the TP5.0SMD-FL TVS diodes maintain a flat and stable clamping voltage and provide exceptional surge protection. The TP5.0SMD-FL TVS diodes also offer excellent clamping capability, with low clamping voltages and response times typically below 1 ps. The TP5.0SMD-FL TVS diodes feature thermal resistances of 15°C/W (junction-to-lead) and 75°C/W (junction-to-ambient). Purpose-built for high-voltage automotive systems, the TP5.0SMD-FL TVS diodes allow designers to reduce the number of TVS devices required in series, optimize the bill of materials (BOM), and select lower-power-rated semiconductors to improve overall system efficiency and performance.

The TP5.0SMD-FL TVS diodes are AEC‑Q101-qualified and operate over a temperature range of -65°C to 175°C, ensuring high reliability in automotive and other demanding environments. The TP5.0SMD-FL FlatSuppressX™ TVS diodes are matte tin, lead-free plated, halogen-free, and RoHS compliant.
