Tested under long-term shock and vibration conditions, the AEC-6810 is a small, multifunctional industrial controller with features similar to industrial PCs. The processor is a VIA Eden 667 MHz CPU. A 2.5" hard drive can be installed with a shock-mounting kit to withstand high-frequency vibration. The unit operates without a fan and needs a 9V to 30V dc input for power. It supports various operating systems such as Windows CE 4.2 and Windows XP Embedded. Interface connections are a 10/100 Ethernet port, four serial ports for typical industrial automation needs, and four USB 1.1 ports. The unit supports a TV-out and AC’97 audio output with MIC-In and Line-In. Other applications are in building automation, ATMs, kiosks and networking.
