Expanding the company's stock of PC/104 serial cards to cover more applications, four cards debut for wide-temperature operation in transportation, COTS, industrial, and medical markets. The additions embrace a range of serial chores including asynchronous and synchronous operation, standard and custom baud rates, and a variety of interfaces. These include data rates of 960 kB/s and RS-232, -422, and -485 interfaces. Optical isolation is also available and each card is compatible with any 16-bit PC/104 CPU. Interrupts, base addresses, and all interfaces are jumper friendly. One card in the series is software configurable between RS-232 and RS-485. Prices range from $145 to $325 each in small quantity.
