Supporting user safety with a range of protection features, the PSE-QD and PSE-HQD IEEE802.3af-compliant, embedded power sourcing modules for power over Ethernet (PoE) support high power mode. In addition to per port over current protection, the PSE-QD provides 450 mA per port and the PSE-HQD handles 650 mA per port, the modules include a total power protection of 109W and 160W, respectively. The PSE-HQD supports high power mode and is backward compatible for normal power mode. Other protection features for both modules include per port over- and under-voltage, per port short-circuit protection, per port over current, and thermal cut off.
