Designed for developers of low-cost interactive toys, two-way keyless entry systems, wireless security systems, home automation systems, and other two-way wireless data or control systems, the RD0300 915 MHz transceiver reference design is based on the RF2905 radio frequency integrated circuit (RFIC). The design incorporates a single-conversion heterodyne radio architecture using separate crystal for transmitting and receiving local oscillators. This radio can be used in single- or multi-user networks operating on a single frequency.
The design is capable of data rates up to 128 kb/s and operates on 2.7V to 5V supply voltages. It includes a power-down capability and requires a minimum amount of logic signals to send and receive digital data.
