Promising fast and easy evaluation of the company's transceiver and receiver ICs in the prototyping phase, three kits provide test functions for RF performance, range, and throughput without the need for additional support circuitry. Each kit includes a ready-to-use module or modules, parallel cable, and a CD ROM containing design and application files. They can interface with the user's system or integrate directly into the design. According to the company, these capabilities result in design-time reductions up to 70%. The kit trio includes the TB32301EVKIT for the TB32301AFL 2.4 GHz transceiver, TA32305EVKIT for the TA32305FNG 240 to 450 MHz transceiver, and the TA31275EVKIT for the TA31275FNG 240 to 450 MHz receiver. Single-unit prices range from $199 to $249. TOSHIBA AMERICA ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS INC., SAN JOSE, CA. (408) 526-2400.
