A new voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) application that runs under Windows CE is said to allow users to communicate via voice over a handheld PC. All that is needed besides the application and the handheld PC is a headset and wireless connectivity to the Internet. The application will be offered as part of the company's aveComm software line, which includes customizable Java-based software technology, said to enhance the existing functionality of traditional CRM, help-desk collaboration, and distance learning programs.
