Multilayer NTC Chip Thermistors Come In 0402 And 0603 Sizes
The TBP high-reliability NTC chip thermistors are 63-mW devices with values from 47 Ω to 150 kΩ. These devices are available in both 0402 and 0603 sizes.
With a B constant of 2950 to 4750 at 25°C to 85°C, the thermistors are highly sensitive. Based on multilayer construction, the devices have a broad operating-temperature range of −55°C to 125°C. A thermal-time constant of less than 5 s and a heat-dissipation constant of 1 to 2.5 mW/°C are also provided. Negligible resistance change is demonstrated in 1000-hour reliability tests. According to the company, these thermistors are suited for use in telecommunications equipment, consumer electronics, and battery-protection applications.
