Software Has New Built-In Web Tools

Version 5.1 of LabVIEW™, the application development environment for measurement and automation, streamlines the creation of web-enabled applications. By using new built-in tools, you can publish VI front panels on web pages with no programming required.

LabVIEW 5.1 applications now are modular components similar to text-based programming languages allowing users to create smaller executables. It continues to integrate ActiveX technologies to incorporate the interactive analysis capabilities of The MathWorks MATLAB® and the company’s HiQ-Script™.

Enhancements include a 3-D graph control that adds flexibility for performing modeling and visualization, improved report generation, and refined graphics capabilities for custom drawing and animation. Scalable front panels can help move applications between various screen resolutions without manually resizing the controls. Starts at $995; upgrades: $295 to $395.
