Oct. 8, 2008
Based on the ultra-bright AllnGaP technology, a new series of low-current, surface-mount LEDs is designed to provide exceptional brightness in low-power applications including backlighting and indicators in automotive and telecommunications equipment.

Based on the ultra-bright AllnGaP technology, a new series of low-current, surface-mount LEDs is designed to provide exceptional brightness in low-power applications including backlighting and indicators in automotive and telecommunications equipment. At a forward current of just 2 mA, the new TLMx300x series LEDs comes in super red, orange, and yellow colors. The TLMS3000 and TLMS3001 super red LEDs feature a dominant wavelength of 630 nm and typical luminous intensities from 2.5 mcd to 12.5 mcd; the TLMO3000 and TLMO3001 orange LEDs are at 606 nm and from 5.0 mcd to 20 mcd; and the TLMY3000 and TLMY3001 yellow LEDs are at 587 nm and from 4.0 mcd to 20 mcd. The devices are embedded in a small white EIA- and ICE-standard package measuring 2.8 mm by 3.0 mm with a height profile of 1.65 mm. All six devices feature a 60° angle of half intensity and a non-diffused lens that facilitates coupling to light pipes. Pricing starts at $5.50 per 100 pieces/100,000.
