Promising to ease debugging and optimization of large-scale distributed systems, Optima integrated development environment (IDE) for the OSE real-time operating system employs current Eclipse version 3.1.2 and C/C++ development toolkit technology. The IDE relies on the Eclipse workbench and workspace for building images and managing projects, and provides plug-ins for most software configuration management tools. It includes a C/C++ editor with language-aware highlighting and code completion, a C/C++ debugger, C/C++ launcher, parser and indexer, search engine, content assist, and a make-file editor and builder. All plug-ins support distributed debugging, which allows access to any target CPU without the need for direct connection. Other features include data for all OSE objects, a filtered, sortable, flat-table view of processes or blocks on the target system, start, stop, and kill for blocks and processes, loading/unloading of OSE programs, system level viewing with simultaneous attachments to multiple targets, graphical pool profiler, and a run-mode debugger. Pricing starts at $ 3,000 for a subscription. ENEA, San Jose, CA. (408) 383-9480.
