LED Driver Reduces EMI

Oct. 21, 2011
Switching at frequencies up to 1 MHz, the AL8807 buck LED driver reduces EMI issues in lower cost MR16 LED lamps.

Switching at frequencies up to 1 MHz, the AL8807 buck LED driver reduces EMI issues in lower cost MR16 LED lamps. To achieve higher output powers, the driver operates at input voltages between 6V to 30V and drives up to eight LEDs in series with a constant 1A current. Other features include a current accuracy of ±5% and up to 96% efficiency. Pricing for the AL8807 is $0.40 each/1,000. DIODES INC., Dallas, TX. (972) 385-2810.
