Said to be a practical and cost-effective solution for designers who demand the long-lived, highly-directional brightness of LEDs, a new family of special purpose silicone filter caps converts blue LED output to any of over 80 shades of white light. Ranging from cool blue-white to warm white or ivory, the new WhiteCap Series gives designers the flexibility to select white color variations without paying the high cost of white emitting LEDs or reverting to incandescent lamps specifically designed for miniature surface mount applications. These non-breakable, highly-stable LED filter caps are available in 3 mm, 5 mm and surface-mount versions. Initially available in most requested colors for immediate delivery, the filters can also be custom formulated to precise color coordinates. Price of the custom-colored filter caps is $0.15 in quantities.
