Keysight joins 5GAA to drive connected mobility and road safety

March 1, 2017

Santa Rosa, CA. Keysight Technologies Inc. this week announced it has joined the 5G Automotive Association (5GAA). With its expertise in 5G design and test, as well as its collaborations with leading 5G research companies and academics, Keysight said it looks forward to contributing in connecting the next-generation 5G wireless communication and the automotive technologies together to innovate connected mobility and road safety.

As an active member in a number of automotive industry associations, wireless standard organizations (including 3GPP), and leading 5G consortia, Keysight is playing a strategic role in providing the broadest design and test tools—from legacy 2G, 3G, and 4G to emerging 5G wireless technologies. Keysight currently provides the automotive industry with a comprehensive array of design, simulation, and test solutions for 5G research, including the industry’s first 5G exploration library of simulation software.

“Keysight has a strong track record of providing industry-leading design, test, and manufacturing solutions for the wireless communications, millimeter wave, and automotive systems tests,” said Siegfried Gross, vice president and general manager of Keysight’s Automotive and Energy Solutions. “With our participation in the 5G Automotive Association, we look forward to contributing and applying our 5G insights to the next-generation of intelligent transportation technologies.”

“We welcome Keysight’s industry leadership in the 5G design and test arena,” said Dino Flore, director general of the 5GAA. “Coupled with their experience in a wide spectrum of test and measurement applications for connected and autonomous cars, their participation will bring valuable insights to our association as we work on developing intelligent transport systems of the future for the automotive industry.”
