Designing and validating automotive solutions presents multiple challenges for engineers, from issues like poor antenna placement to unknown thermal-management problems. Addressing the need to verify vehicles to be safe, reliable, and functional in a broad range of environments and use-cases, companies like Altair provide advanced simulation and optimization tools to solve problems like electromagnetic wave propagation, thermal analysis, structural optimization, motion analysis, and electric motor design.
In this video, Altair's Chief Product and Strategy Officer, Brett Chouinard, talks about design challenges in electric-vehicle development.
