Low-Noise CCD Cameras Include Power Over Camera Link Capability

Four new members of the C3 Compact series of CCD cameras include monochrome and color versions with and without Power over Camera Link (PoCL) interfaces. The CM-141MCL/CM141PCML (monochrome) and CB-141MCL/CB-141PMCL (color) cameras features 1.4-Mpixel capability, a greater than 58 dB signal-to-noise ratio, and 30-fps operation. The cameras include a variety of trigger modes including reset continuous triggering (RCT), which enables the camera to operate in continuous mode while awaiting a trigger signal. Other features includes preset shutter speeds up to 1/10,000 s and programmable exposures as short as 63 µs for capturing fast moving objects. The Mini Camera Link interface allows a small housing—44 by 75 by 29 mm—which makes the cameras suitable for machine vision applications in tight spaces. In addition to the Camera link interface, the cameras are available with PoCL using the Mini Camera Link connector.
