Providing a convenient path for upgrades, the line-regulated IBC PKU-B series 1/16-brick dc/dc converter modules deliver a higher output power than standard sixteenth-brick modules. Embarking as the first member of the series, the PKU4101B PI provides a 5V output at 20A. A 12V version is on the horizon later this year and both versions will be available in through-hole and surface-mount versions. They measure less than 8.3 mm in height and meet the insulation requirements of EN60950 and include industry-standard features such as remote on/off, over-temperature protection, output over-current and over-voltage protection, and input under-voltage protection. The 5V module delivers an efficiency up to 92% across the entire input-voltage range and from 50% to 100% percent load. Price for the PKU4101B PI is $26 each/10,000.
