This new line of medium power, low cost, power factor corrected (PFC) ac/dc power supplies has a low, 1U profile and produces up to 250W in a package measuring 7.4" x 4.2" x 1.5". Full power is available up to 50°C, with 18 cfm airflow needed for 250W operation. The JPS250 series switchers operate up to 70°C with derating, or can deliver up to 200W with convection cooling. The supplies also boast of a power factor of more than 0.99. Five single output models are available: 5, 12, 15, 24 and 48 Vdc, plus an auxiliary 12V/300 mA fan output (except 5V model). The switchers have universal input voltages of 90-264 Vac or 170-370 Vdc, as well as having a number of protective features, including zero minimum load, over-voltage, over-current and over-temperature protection, remote sense, low output ripple, and tight line and load regulation. Pricing for JPS250 series power supplies begins at $116 each/1,000. XPiQ INC., Holliston, MA. (508) 429-9883.
