\[July 25, 2006\] Available with eight input-voltage ranges from 18 to 380 Vdc, 115 and 230 Vac, and 208V tri-phase, the C2500 series 400U, 3U VME-/Eurorack-compatible dc/dc and ac/dc converters employ industrial-grade components, making them contenders for a variety of rugged applications. They offer single outputs from 4.5 to 250 Vdc, all of which are isolated, adjustable, and regulated to 0.2% or better (load) and 0.1% (line). Each unit provides remote sensing, over-voltage and current-limit protection on their outputs, efficiencies up to 90%, convection cooling, and operating temperatures from -20°C to +75°C or -40°C to +75°C. Options include decoupling diodes for parallel operation, ruggedization, inhibit, power fail and dc-okay, system reset, active current sharing, and wall or chassis mounting. Pricing starts at $782 each/100. SCHAEFER INC., Ashland, MA. (508) 881-7330.
