The MIC2130/1 series high-voltage synchronous buck controllers provide a frequency dithering feature that minimizes EMI and adheres to global EMC standards. Their ±12% switching-frequency dithering produces a spread spectrum to lower EMI peaks.

The MIC2130/1 series high-voltage synchronous buck controllers provide a frequency dithering feature that minimizes EMI and adheres to global EMC standards. Their ±12% switching-frequency dithering produces a spread spectrum to lower EMI peaks. The devices operate with an input-voltage range from 8V to 40V and deliver adjustable output voltages down to 0.7V. They also offer a 150-kHz frequency option, which allows optimization for best efficiency or size. Other features include internal drivers for output currents up to 15A and an adaptive gate drive that allows for efficiencies beyond 95%. The 400-khz frequency option and a 4 mm x 4 mm MLF-16 package option will both be available in the first quarter of 2008. Pricing starts at $1.63 each/1,000. MICREL SEMICONDUCTOR, San Jose, CA.
