The advanced SMPS 600V family of switch mode power supply IGBTs is touted as the first to offer high-frequency offline power conversion for applications of 100 kHz and greater. The devices offer a high current density capability resulting in increased power supply power density for SMPS ac/dc, high voltage dc/dc, PFC stages and UPS applications. The HGTG20N60A4 family of MOS-gated, high-voltage switching devices combine the best features of MOSFETs and bipolar transistors. The devices deliver the high input impedance of a MOSFET and the low on-state conduction loss of a bipolar transistor. The family is designed for high-voltage switching applications where operating frequencies are high and where low conduction losses are essential.
