Measuring 1.5 x 1.5mm, the SC560 family of dual-output, low dropout (LDO) linear regulators lay claim to being the industry's smallest. The devices specify a dropout of 200 mV maximum at a current of 200 mA per output, and a 100-µA quiescent current with both outputs enabled, and a 0.1-µA shutdown current. Input-voltage range for all devices is 2.5V to 5.5V. The family consists of eight devices, each distinguished by output voltages and pin options. Three devices, the SC560A, B, and C, have adjustable output voltages on both LDOs ranging from 1.2V to 3.3V. In addition, the SC560A features a low-noise bypass, the SC560B offers a second LDO enable pin, and the SC560C comes with a power good pin with a 200-ms delay. Five other devices, the SC560D, E, F, G, and H offer combinations of fixed-voltage outputs ranging from 1.5V to 3.3V. Each of the five includes individual enable capabilities for each LDO, a low-noise bypass, and power good outputs with a 200-ms delay. Pricing for the SC560 family starts at $0.40 each/1,000.
