The MIC4680 SuperSwitcher dc-to-dc switching converter provides more than 1A of output current with four external components. The surface-mount MIC4680 comes in a standard 8-lead SOP package. The 4V to 34V input voltage range ensures operation in the harshest of environments where voltage spikes and noise can be at issue. The device features full current limit and thermal protection with a shutdown current of ≤2 µA.
