Aimed at power supplies, battery-powered equipment, computers, instrumentation, portable equipment, data acquisition systems, and power management circuits, the TS824-1.2 and TS824-2.5 low-power, shunt voltage references exhibit a maximum temperature coefficient of 50 ppm/°C. The references are said to be stable with capacitive loads and across the industrial operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. The TS824-1.2 provides a 1.225V output and requires an operating current of 45 µA at 25°C. With a 2.5V output, the TS824-2.5 requires a higher operating current of 60 µA at 25°C. Maximum operating current is 12 mA for TS824-1.2 and 15 mA for TS824-2.5. In addition, the devices are available in precision ratings of ±1% for TS824-1.2 and ±0.5% or ±1% for TS824-2.5. Prices for the SOT-23 references begin at $0.68 each/1,000. STMICROELECTRONICS INC., Lexington, MA. (781) 861-2650.
