The SPT7936 is said to be the first 12-bit, 28-Ms/s analog-to-digital converter designed to operate from a 3.3V supply. The device, which features a pipelined architecture, achieves extremely low power dissipation of 260 mW at 3.3V. It also is said to ensure compatibility with modern digital systems.Features include internal track-and-hold, differential input and low input capacitance. The converter's low distortion and high dynamic range make it well suited for use in demanding imaging, multimedia, telecommunication and instrumentation applications. Because the device is designed to operate from a power-supply input range of 3.0 to 3.6V, it's also suitable for battery-powered portable computing and test equipment and remote telemetry systems. Packaging is a 44-lead TQFP that provides operation over a temperature range of 0°C to 70°C.
