Cable Assemblies Employ Lightweight Aluminum Outer Conductor

July 1, 2000

Said to maintain the electrical characteristics of the firm's copper cables, these jacketed, low-loss, semi-rigid cable assemblies with a soft, lightweight aluminum outer conductor are supplied with crimp-on or conventional connectors. Outer conductor O.D.s are 0.047", 0.085", 0.141" or 0.250" with safe bend radii of 1/4", 3/8", 5/8" or 1-1/8". Attenuation, respective to conductor size, at 18 MHz is 118, 80, 39.5 and 24.5 dB. VSWR at 18 MHz for assemblies with two straight connectors is 1.35:1; for assemblies with one straight and one right-angle connector is 1.40:1; and for assemblies with two right-angle connectors 1.45:1.
