Cable Tracer Identifies Wires Without Piercing Insulation

Nov. 1, 2001

Capable of identifying wires without piercing their insulation, the Model 262 tone generator and cable-tracer kit combines the Model 260 tone generator and the Model 261 cable tracer. Generating warbled tones at selected frequencies, the tone generator is capable of checking line polarity and providing talk current on a dead line. The Model 261 is an inductive tracer that includes a high gain/impedance amplifier and is capable of identifying tones from a distance up to 12". The kit is priced at $59.
