Capacitively Decoupled BNC Connector Shunts EMI On Cable Shield To Ground

Nov. 1, 1998

This BNC connector is designed to decouple EMI on the coaxial cable shield through an integral capacitor-to-chassis ground without influencing the signal termination. The interconnect offers the same electrical characteristics as non-filtered BNC connectors. Capacitance is 10,000 pF ±20%, voltage rating is 500 vdc, and current rating is 3A. The connector filters from 1 MHz to 3 GHz with 50 ohm source/load impedances.
