Connectors Are For Flex Circuits And Flat Cables

Dec. 1, 1999

For flexible printed circuits and flat cables, PCA and PCB Series of low-insertion force and zero-insertion force connectors are available in SMT or through-hole versions. PCA Series are LIF connectors available in 0.049" and 0.100" centerline versions. The PCB Series are ZIF connectors with 0.039" and 0.049" centerlines. Standard pitches are 0.5, 1, 1.25, 2.5 and 2.54 mm. With top or side entry, two body styles are slotted for flat flex circuits or as individual sockets for solid or fused stranded wires. A specially engineered contact reduces conductor abrasion while maintaining high contact pressure.
