Designed for high-speed networking applications such as Fibre Channel and Gigabit Ethernet is a family of plugs and receptacles for the latest generation of Small Form Factor (SFF) Gigabit Interface Converters. Both straddle-mount GBIC plugs and a choice of vertical or right-angle receptacles are available. The connectors feature a blind-mating alignment system which provides automatic sequencing of application or removal of ground, power and signal connections to ensure reliable hot-swap operation.
