Enclosures Protect Electronics Both Indoors And Outdoors

Aug. 1, 1999

With a durable construction of molded, UV-stabilized, fiberglass-reinforced polyester for general-purpose indoor/outdoor use, these enclosures are UL listed and CSA certified for NEMA Type 1, 2, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 applications. They can be used in areas subject to high temperatures, blown dust, oil, splashing or hose-directed water, and wintery conditions. In addition to JIC-standard sizes from 6” x 6” x 4” to 30” x 24” x 10”, the enclosures also offer a choice of 10 cover styles, including screw and hinged-screw, snap-latch, twist-latch with padlock hasp, or raised cover for extra depth of enclosure. All covers are gasketed with closed-cell neoprene cord, and all external screws, latches, hinges and mounting hardware are of stainless-steel. Also included are covers with round cutouts in nine configurations that accommodate from four to 42 30-mm diameter switching operators and/or pilot lights, as well as covers fitted with large viewing windows of UV-resistant clear polycarbonate.
