Interlock Receptacle Suits NEMA 4X Apps

Nov. 1, 2000

Available on a wide selection of enclosed switches and breakers, the new 30A and 60A Arktite interlock receptacles are suited for NEMA 4X applications. The receptacles feature a direct drive cam mechanism to insure reliable, constant, positive locking action and a redesigned front housing that is compatible with the Arktite APJ and NPJ plugs. Integral gaskets and O-rings provide watertight NEMA integrity while the one-piece case receptacle housing keeps the chamber and operating mechanism free from dust, dirt, oil and water. The interlock mechanisms prevent the mating plug from being inserted or withdrawn under load, a safety feature suited for heavy-duty portable equipment. The baked epoxy powder finish provides protection from harsh environments and makes the receptacles suitable for wash-down and hose-down areas.
