Module Configures Datalogging/Control In Popular Test App

April 1, 2001

A new module for use in LabVIEW claims to easily configure distributed datalogging and supervisory control applications. The module provides built-in utilities to configure, view and log data, allowing users to implement distributed logging and perform historical trending without the need for programming.
Users have the capability to drag-and-drop I/O for on-line monitoring as opposed to developing this functionality themselves.
Additional utilities within the module include configuration tools for security, alarm and event management, networking, and OLE for process control (OPC) connectivity for supervisory control of distributed systems. Pricing for the new module starts at $1,995.
