Panel Fasteners Are Self-Clinching

May 1, 1999

Designed without knurls for limited-access requirements, PEM Type PF12 series fasteners are an extension of firm's PEM Type PF11 series of knurled panel fasteners. Both fastener types provide streamlined assembly, ensure quick panel removal, and eliminate risks associated with loose hardware. The panel fasteners are complete spring-loaded assemblies for use in aluminum or steel sheets as thin as 0.036". They are installed by squeezing them into properly sized punched or drilled holes using any standard press. A shoulder provides a positive stop during installation, and the reverse side of the sheet remains flush after installation. Both types offer a universal slot/Phillips drive as standard with other drives available upon request.
