Security Processor targets IP Storage Market

Dec. 1, 2001

Said to be the first security processor designed for the emerging IP storage industry, the NSP4200 security processor delivers full-duplex, 10 Gb Ethernet encrypted performance. The device performs over five million packets per second of IPsec protocol acceleration by combining multi-algorithm encryption and authentication, packet processing, security association management, and policy lookup. The processor's FlowThrough security architecture enable packet and encryption/authentication processing to be handled directly in the data path, offloading functions from the system processor or TCP/IP engine.
