An agreement between Denali Software and Intel will yield advanced simulation models for Intel's complete line of flash memories. Simulation models will be available online for all current Intel flash devices, including the recently announced 128-Mbit Intel StrataFlash memory device.

The Intel flash models are being developed with Denali's Specification Of Memory Architecture (SOMA) modeling technology, making them compatible with virtually all commercially available simulation and verification tools. The SOMA format parameterizes highly optimized generic C memory models with the unique timing, features, and functionality of a specific commercial memory device.

In addition to design tool compatibility, the SOMA models execute faster, enabling faster simulations. They also offer a number of verification features that aren't otherwise possible.

Models will be made available to system designers and developers online at www.ememory.com/Intel-FLASH.
