Transformers Support HDSL, MDSL Transceivers

Dec. 1, 1999

Five new transformers are available for interfacing with Conexant’s Bt8970 full-duplex 2B1Q transceiver for high bit-rate digital subscriber line (HDSL) applications. Another transformer interfaces with Conexant’s Bt8960 multi-rate digital subscriber line (MDSL) IC. The transformers are designed to meet the bandwidth requirements for copper wire access applications for digital modem and Internet access. Operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C. The new transformers are capable of supporting data rates from 400 to 1168 kb/s and also offer isolation of 1500 Vrms.
