Designed for use in electronic transformer circuits used in lighting applications where devices must withstand the very high currents that flow during lamp turn-on or short circuits, BUL39D, BUL49D and BUL59 bipolar power transistors provide wide reverse bias safe operating area with a VCEW capability up to 450V at high current levels. Respective collector currents are 4A, 5A and 8A with maximum respective power handling of 70W, 80W and 90W. The first two devices include an intrinsic free-wheeling diode.
