Extending the CeraDiode line of ceramic multilayer diodes is a 0603-size (SOD-523) device with a typical capacitance of 0.6 pF. Similar to other devices in the series, it provides ESD protection of data lines as well as audio and video lines, analog and digital terminals, ICs, and equipment I/Os. According to the company, the diodes offer a cost-effective alternative to ESD-protection components on a semiconductor basis such as Zener and TVS diodes. In many cases, the CeraDiodes directly replace semiconductor diodes because they are an identical fit in form and function.
