is showcasing several solutions for the industrial, healthcare, and automotive markets at electronica 2016 (hall A4, stand 279).

Lost productivity is a common concern for Industry 4.0 designers challenged with keeping a manufacturing line running 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The company’s Pocket IO programmable logic controller (PLC) development platform brings real-time intelligence, adaptive manufacturing, and distributed control to traditional manufacturing processes.

Maxim will also be hosting a number of live demonstrations related to Industry 4.0:

  • Soccer Ball Testing and Personalization Factory
  • Detecting Your Goal Throw with Light Curtains
  • Measuring Soccer Ball Bounce Height
  • Soccer Ball Robotic Circumference Measurement
  • Precision Control of a Line Following Robot
  • FLIR Heat Map Comparison of IO-Link Transceivers
  • Power Solution Size and Efficiency Comparison

With regard to wearable health and fitness applications, Maxim’s ultra-small hSensor Platform enables designers to quickly and easily validate next-generation solutions. The complete development platform, with ARM mbed support, purports to eliminate up to six months of design time.

Finally, Maxim will be participating in the following speaking events at electronica:
