Equipped for cellular bands between 600 MHz and 3.7 GHz, Telit’s latest LN920 data card handles Cat 13.

This article is part of our Electronica 2022 coverage.

Telit’s latest M.2 data card, the LN920A13, supports Cat 13 LTE using 2 x 2 MIMO. The Next Generation Form Factor (NGFF) module, which uses a USB 3.0 interface, features LTE speeds up to 400-Mb/s download and 150-Mb/s upload. The LN920A13 supports Cat 13 with download speeds up to 600 Mb/s and upload of 150 Mb/s. The modules target mobile devices and laptops.

The LN920 series can handle all cellular bands between 600 MHz and 3.7 GHz. This includes support for CBRS (band 48) and the first responder band 14. It will work with public and private LTE networks. Modules are certified by major regulators and Tier 1 operators in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Japan, and Australia.

Regarding GNSS positioning and navigation, there's a GNNS receiver that utilizes a separate RF connector. An internal GNSS L1 LNA can be equipped with less-expensive passive antennas. The modules also support WCDMA fallback technology.

The modules, based on a Qualcomm Snapdragon SDX12, employ SELinux and secure boot. Drivers are available for Windows 11 and Linux. Firmware over-the-air (FOTA) updates are supported as well.
