Eindhoven, The Netherlands:
A fully integrated, high-performance WiMAX family of transceivers developed by NXP has set it sights on mobile and handheld applications. The 2.3-to-2.4GHz UXF23480 is designed for use within North America and Australia, while the 2.5-to-2.7GHz UXF23460 will target the Taiwan, Japan, North American, and European markets. Both transceivers are 802.16e-compliant.

NXP says the transceivers minimise the need for additional components. They combine low power consumption, a noise figure of less than three decibels, and high adjacent channel rejection.
