The 385 series of mechanically-latched, electrically-reset relays are used where the relay contacts need to remain in the last set position with the power off. The terminals have a single-piece construction for reliability and employ a standard quick-disconnect pierced for solder termination. A molded polycarbonate dust cover can be DIN rail mounted. Measuring 3.04" x 1.67" x 2.4", the package size is slightly smaller than equivalent series. Contacts are rated at 15A, reportedly 50% higher than competitive models. according to the company. The new latching relays come in all standard coil voltages of 12, 24 and 110 Vdc, and 24, 120 and 240 Vac. Contact arrangements include DPDT, 4PDT and 6PDT. The 385 series is suitable for applications requiring a rugged, compact, high-current relay, including elevator control systems, automated production equipment, communication systems, and safety devices. Pricing ranges from $15 to $23. MAGNECRAFT & STRUTHERS-DUNN, Northfield, IL. (843) 393-5778.
