LabStrobe STB100-F is a handheld LED stroboscope used to measure the speed of rotation or frequency of vibration of a fan, motor, or other mechanical part or system. It measures 4.9 in. x 2.8 in. x 1.3 in. and operates from two AA batteries, making the device very portable. Stroboscopes have the advantage not loading or disturbing equipment under test. Mechanical equipment may be observed under actual operating conditions, and parasitic oscillations, flaws, and unwanted distortion at high speeds are readily detected. A six button membrane allows easy flash rate (coarse and fine) and flash phase adjustment. Flash rate range (FPM) is 20 to 20,000. The innovative microprocessor design and LUXEON LED technology provide this pocket-sized strobe with excellentd brightness and battery life. An optional tripod is available. LabStrobe can be purchased for $195 each. CONTROL RESOURCES INC., Littleton, MA. (978) 486-4160.
