The 3400, 4400, and 5400 series brushless dc motors employ a slot-less stator construction to provide smooth and quiet operation and extend service life. The components are available in three frame sizes, NEMA 14, 17, and 23, and incorporate three-phase slot-less stators, four-pole rotors, and neodymium magnets. Depending on the model, they can achieve maximum continuous torque levels up to 43 oz.-in. and speeds in excess of 5,600 rpm. Other features include shielded ball bearings, precision-ground hardened stainless steel shafts, and rugged construction. Options include planetary gearboxes, optical encoders, and brakes.
