The company has added what it describes as ultra-low profile spring-loaded contacts to its numerous contact offerings. These include modular contacts for use on a 0.1" grid, available in eight heights from 0.137" to 0.295" with single and double row contact strips. Additionally, the 813 series double-row contacts are now available on 32-mm wide carrier tape with four positions (2 x 2) through 16 positions (2 x 8). A typical application for the contacts would be as the base unit (battery/charger) interface for portable equipment, such as mobile phones/radios, bar code readers, and test instruments.
