The company's new series of toroidal inductors are claimed to radiate very little noise and feature a self-shielding toroidal geometry. Designated as the TIW series, the components are a low profile, surface-mount, self-leaded inductor similar to the drum core with five core sizes in a variety of inductance values and current ratings. The devices have an operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C and are compatible with solder reflow processes up to 240°C. Suitable applications are said to be for use in switching regulators, dc/dc converters, for distributed power, as filters and chokes, and in battery-powered equipment. Pricing is less than $1 each/10,000.
