Green Hills Software develops real-time operating systems like the Integrity RTOS and software-development tools like its Multi IDE for C and C++ developers. I spoke with Robert Redfield, Direct of Business Development, about a number of topics including:
- Consolidating software in automotive applications
- Over-the-air (OTA) updates
- RISC-V
Green Hills Software is involved in a range of automotive initiatives, from securing the connected car to the powertrain (Fig. 1).
The Multi IDE supports a range of processors including Arm and RISC-V. Multi also supports Green Hills Software's TimeMachine trace debug tool (Fig. 2). It allows developers to record the execution of an application and then step forward and backward through the recorded execution.
