The 24-bit AK4527B audio codec device integrates a two-channel a/d converter and a six-channel d/a converter in a single, 44-pin LQFP. Released as a successor to the AK4527, this new version is optimized for audio/video amplifiers, digital TV and car-audio applications.
Features include a dual-bit, delta-sigma a/d converter with 64x oversampling and digital HPF, multi-bit, delta-sigma d/a converter with 128x oversampling, a 24-bit 8X digital filter, single-ended outputs, channel-independent volume controls, and digital de-emphasis. The new device retains a three-wire microcomputer interface, similar to its predecessor. Price is $6.95 each/1,000.
