Lauded as the industry’s fastest and widest IP co-processor device in a 128Kx72 configuration, the 128Kx72 full ternary, Internet Protocol (IP) co-processor performs up to 100 million searches per second. A unique reissue feature eliminates extraneous clock cycles during multiple database searches to allow up to 576-bit wide sustained searches at maximum device speed. The co-processor also includes a suite of advanced management features that promise to improve system performance and reduce power consumption. Based on the integration of content addressable memory (CAM) and high-performance logic, it supports network processor units (NPUs) and application specific integrated circuits (ASICs) for deep packet classification and forwarding in core, metro and access routers. Pricing starts at $225 each/10,000. For further information, contact IDT, Santa Clara, CA. (800) 345-7015.
